Topic: Understanding the Purpose of Group
Big Idea: God uses people in community to bring grace and transformation over time. The goal of small groups is spiritual growth.
Biblical Mandate: Eph. 4:16 "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."
1 Peter 4:10 "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."
Discuss: How is our group doing in accomplishing the purpose of group life? What has God done specifically in your life that reflects life transformation as a result of being in this group? How could we improve in order to better accomplish the purpose of groups?
